This is first of a 2 part series on Purpose.

WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?

No ship can sail without a rudder, a rudder is useless when not on a ship. The rudder is one of the smallest parts of a ship but one of the most important. The interesting story is that a rudder can be easily replaced but the #purpose of the rudder cannot be replaced.

Henry Ford had a compelling purpose which was what drove him; he wanted every average family to drive a car, today, that has made him a legend and the ford company great.

Employers are privileged to have the employee who chooses to work for them, because the employee left other job options and chose them and by ideal standards; this is because that company had a role to play in their #purpose in life.

Employees have the privilege to work for an employer who supports them to achieving their #purpose in life.

Greatness, riches, success and fame are naturally strongly attracted magnetically by #purpose. You can achieve all by having a compelling purpose. A compelling purpose is #purpose that is greater than you.

It is good to want and need the basic things in life- food, shelter, security, internet, etc. getting these is a purpose, it becomes compelling when you want to give this to the world and more.

All those that worked with and on their compelling purpose are all around us, past present and future: Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Bill Gates, Barack Obama, Michael Jackson, Adolf Hitler, Al Qaeda, The Wright Brothers, Jack Ma, Ayo Emakhiomhe, etc.

Discovering your #purpose is empowerment. #Empowerment is a journey and not a destination. The more #empowered you are the higher you rise above being a zero and the less empowered you are the lower you go below zero. Zero by itself does not exist, it is only a point of replacement-a shadow (just like the devil), and it is there till we can find an original meaning, a real number which can now be either positive (above zero) or negative (below Zero).

Hitler had a high number below Zero and that was why even though he had a compelling purpose, he destroyed so many innocent lives. Edison on the other hand had also a very compelling purpose and that is why even so many years after his death, General Electric Company is still around today touching lives in so many beautiful ways.

It takes you to find and define your purpose in life. It has always been there with you; from when you were empowered with life at birth to when it is taken back from you at death.

It involves looking beyond your nose and discovering the world around you. It is your skill set and talents, your passions and dreams, your mind and environment. Your purpose is an iceberg; you need to look inside to see the big picture.

Your purpose does not have to seem logical; it was not logical for man to fly when Aeroplanes were discovered, even the father of the Wright Brothers who invented Aeroplanes knew this and said so not knowing that his sons were doing the illogical thing.

It was considered illogical and even witchcraft to give birth to twins in east Nigeria. At that time, it was logical to just kill such children or abandon them to die until Mary Slessor came and convinced them otherwise.

Your purpose does not have to exist yet. It will take you to create it. As mankind, you have been empowered to create. Find your purpose and create it. Space travel did not exist until someone created it. Your gadgets were created by someone. Why have you not created yours?

When it does not exist, create it in your mind and start building it, start talking about it till it becomes a part of you. Put it in writing and put yourself to achieving it one day at a time. Man’s mind is so powerful that if your purpose is real, every resource at achieving it will start to create itself and reach out to you. The cure for most diseases today did not exist until someone created it and saved so many lives.

I challenge you to live a life on purpose today.

You may be down, but you are not yet out. No matter what the situation may be in your marriage, health, or education, whatever it may be, please do not give up. That situation is not permanent. As you can see, it is only a situation. It will change, if you hang on LONG ENOUGH. Keep hitting the iron until it bends. Keep holding on until the situation improves.

You will succeed!
